Overview

An annual oil service on the DBS is a useful condition check as much as a fluid change. The job is approachable, but use exact workshop data and inspect the car honestly while the underbody is open.

Tools and consumables

Tools

• Level lifting equipment: The car must be secure and level.
• Undertray removal tools: Have all sockets and bits to hand before starting.
• Drain pan: Use a clean, large-capacity pan.
• Torque wrench: Use only with confirmed manual values.

Consumables

• Approved engine oil: Use the exact DBS-approved oil grade for the car.
• Correct oil filter: Confirm by VIN.
• Drain plug sealing washer: Renew if required by design.

Preparation

• Warm the oil lightly and allow safe cooldown.
• Prepare the correct oil, filter, seal, drain pan, and cleaning materials.
• Raise and secure the car level.

Access

• Remove undertray sections carefully and inspect brake and cooling components while they are visible.
• Locate the drain and filter points clearly before beginning.
• Note any existing leaks or underbody corrosion.

Remove

• Drain the oil fully.
• Remove the filter and inspect the old oil and plug.
• Clean the filter sealing surface.

Install

• Fit the new filter correctly.
• Reinstall the drain plug using the correct seal and verified torque.
• Refill with the exact approved oil and confirm level by the specified method.

Final checks

• Run the engine, check for leaks, and confirm final level.
• Reinstall the undertray cleanly.
• Record the service and inspect surrounding brake and tyre condition before the next drive.
